She assists with the Wednesday evening Beginner class, where she has a special interest in teaching obedience. You will also see her volunteering or exhibiting with her dogs during Golden Rule School special events and activities. |

The Black Hawk Memorial Award is offered by the Alaskan Malamute Club of America and goes to the dog of either sex whose average of the three qualifying scores for the AKC Companion Dog title is the highest for that year. Wolf also ranked with Front & Finish in 2003 as the #1 Novice A and #3 Novice A&B combined Alaskan Malamute by the First and Foremost point value system in obedience. Front & Finish is a prestigious training magazine among obedience & agility enthusiasts. Wolf then went on to earn an APDT National Ranking of 20th in 2004 among ALL breeds in Rally Obedience. |

"Alaskan Malamutes are not a traditional breed that spectators will see often working in obedience or agility. But I enjoy participating in these events with the breed I love. I grew up with Golden Retrievers and I got my first Alaskan Malamute in 1998. I have been training with Sandi Ver Sprill since the summer of 2000. It has been with her exceptional techniques and guidance that my dogs and I have earned these wonderful achievements together. My dogs are owner/handled in Obedience, Agility and Conformation within the AKC, UKC & APDT Registries.
I continue to learn from Sandi's expertise and I enjoy working along with her in the beginner obedience classes. Sandi exhibits an enthusiastic spirit and is eager to demonstrate the greater potential with the family dog to the more advanced performance show dog. She excels in developing effective strategies to attain good performance and continuously develops alternative approaches to apply to a specific behavioral issue or to more advanced training to obtain a higher-level skill set for both dog and handler. Whether you are looking to train your dog for good household manners or if you wish to pursue to show your dog in companion events, you have found a terrific trainer and a great facility."

Oct 8, Wolf earned his first Rally Advanced leg at the Port Chester Dog Obedience Training Club Trial despite the wind and pouring rain! He achieved a score of 96, and 3rd Place in the Novice B class under Judge Evelyn M. VanUden.
Oct 15, at the Palisades KC (also the Alaskan Malamute Club of America NY/NJ Area Specialty) Wolf earned his 2nd RA leg with a score of 97 in the Advanced B class under Judge Karen Wrey.
Oct 16, at the Ramapo KC (also the Alaskan Malamute Club of America Designated Affiliate Specialty) Wolf earned his 3rd RA leg and subsequent TITLE with a score of 89 in the Advanced B class under Judge Marilou McClusky.

"Echo" earned two legs towards the U-CD! Trial 1, Score 191.5 out of the B Class under Judge Ms. Diane Cohn; Trial 2, Score 189.5 out of the B Class under Judge Ms. Louanne Currey.
Feb. 18 2007: Bayshore DTC, Echo earned her 2nd RE leg with a score of 82 and 4th Place under Judge Mrs. Karen Wrey and at the same trial she earned her first Novice leg with a score of 186 under Judge Mrs. Carol Mett.
Feb. 17 2007: Staten Island CDTC, Echo earned her 1st RE leg with a score of 85 and 3rd Place under Judge Mrs. Linda Sperco.
Nov. 26, 2006 Springfield KC Echo finished her Championship by going WB, BOW and BOS for a 3-point major under Judge Dr. Ruby Hertz.
ECHO earned her NA title at the Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club (SICDTC) trial on May 7, 2006.
